Fw: Subcribing/Unsubscribing to TEXCONS and HELP



 With respect to the large quantity of junk mail that has ben coming across on the TEXCONS listserv...
 
Maybe this is the time to revisit the idea of moderating the list?  I participate in several that are so --most notably the H-net (History net) lists www.h-net.msu.edu -- and haven't found that it stifles free speech or any of the other traditional objections bounced around the TEXCONS list.  The basis of the system seems to be that there are 2-3 editors who receive all the emails but only one is responsible --on a rotation --for ensuring that they are posted to the whole list.
