Meetings of the Textile Conservation Group



The next two meetings of the Textile
Conservation Group will be held at the
following times and locations. Non-members
are invited to attend. However, they are
required to pay a $5 fee.

   Monday October 29, 2001
   6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
   F.I.T., Bldg. E, Room 615
   7th Avenue & 27th Street, NYC
   "Microscopy of Synthetic Fibers"--
    a lecture and laboratory presented 
    by Denyse Montegut. There are only
    12 places available, so reservations

    Note: There is an additional $10 materials
    fee(to be paid in cash) for the handouts
    for this meeting.
    THIS LECTURE/LAB WILL BE FOLLOWED
    ON DECEMBER 4th BY A SECOND, ADVANCED
    MICROSCOPY LAB.

   "The shape of man"- a lecture presented by
    Edward Maeder of Historic Deerfield, who 
    will discuss the conservation issues involved
    with the mounting of this exhibition of men's
    clothing.
