Do I understand that!
There seems to be a pretty wide consensus over the Ikea shelves. The 5x5
model is too big for the 52" wide closet so we'd have to go with the 2x4
model and find a smaller shelf for the boxed ephemera. It's still one of
the cheapest options out there at $77: the equivalent 8 cubes at Staples
would add up to over $175.
I'm pretty much choosing between Ikea's EXPEDIT and the chrome shelving.
I don't like having to mod the latter with side walls and plywood
(covered with contact paper), but I like that they're so strong and will
fill the closet just about perfectly with room for records, magazines
and everything else:
