MAYBE I need to keep all the numbers in and hopefully one day they  
will make sense !

Can people be mixing terminology? I was always advised that the label  
number was on the, err, label and the matrix number was the thing  
stamped into the vinyl around the label? In my example above I was  
referring to the printed label number(s). I am happy to be corrected  
about the terminology though.

Roger Kulp also added:

"If it has the same song on both sides,it is a radio station  
promotional copy."
This had two different tracks (and to make matters more confusing,  
two separate artists !
