zinc sulfide
A compound (ZnS), which occurs naturally as
"blende," and is prepared directly from the
elements and by precipitation of a zinc salt
solution with ammonium sulfide. It is used as a
pigment, or as a component ofLITHOPONE as a
loading material or coating pigment in the
manufacture of paper. (17 )
