Printed matter which can be seen from the other side of a leaf when viewed by reflected light. It is caused by excessive ink penetration, insufficient opacity of the paper, or excessive pressure during printing. Show through may be particularly noticeable if the printer has failed to achieve proper REGISTER (3) . See also: STRIKE IN ;STRIKE THROUGH .
