Ellen Ruth McCrady, publisher of Abbey Publications and editor of the Abbey Newsletter, Alkaline Paper Advocate, and The Mold Reporter passed away on March 5, 2008, at the age of 81. See the obituary posted in the Conservation DistList by Ellen Cunningham-Kruppa

In July 2006, Abbey Publications was dissolved.

In 2003, Abbey Publications will increase subscription rates for both the Abbey Newsletter and the Mold Reporter directly corresponding to the 4.07% increase in this year's consumer price index.

It contains Chlorophenol red, a pH indicator that makes a purple mark on paper with a pH of 6.8 or above (i.e., in the neutral/alkaline range). The pen barrel can be imprinted with the customer's logo for a price
North American Permanent Papers, a 60-page list of over 400 printing, writing and special archival papers made in North America and meeting the specs of NISO Z39.48. Separate chapters give background information on permanence, standards, testing, the P.A.T. test, and related topics. The 1998 edition costs $19.50 plus postage. There will be no updated edition.
Copies of the subject classification scheme used for the Abbey Publications files and library. Available without charge to librarians keeping up a library or information service for preservation/ conservation people.
