You might want to try "the usual suspects" in term sof solubility--alcohols or water/alcohol mixtures, as well as IMS or stoddard...the trick may be to separate the two layers without solubilizing the adhesive since your silk banner will be more absorbent a material than the non-woven material. Too good a solvent might stiffen your banner. material. I am sure the manufacturers of "Stitch witchery" were not thinking of textile conservation when they invented the name of this product, but it really has some "black magic"! Mary
