It's and excellent (though long) magazine cover story (by Mary 
Battiata) on preservation of photographs.  It focuses primarily on 
the Iron Mountain Pennsylvania storage facility and the Corbis 
Collection, but also deals with some broader issues.  It is the kind 
of dramatic hit-home story that I think you are looking for.  You 
might be able to do some cut and paste to create a shortened version 
as one of the pieces in your package.  It is a well-written piece 
targeted for the non-professional.  It is properly researched and not 
full of errors.
