Steve,
Are you in a large city?  Radio and TV parts houses used to stock many belts
under the GC Electronics line of replacements, and if they are not currently
producing, at least they might have New Old Stock.  Another possible source
would be large Japanese parts replacement operations like that of Panasonic.
You might find a belt close enough to your original to work.  In a real
emergency, I once got a large wide rubber band to work for a fix.
