I have a Dr. who lives a few houses down from me and 2 weeks ago I
discovered he collects records, all records. He invited me down to get a
look at his collection. They filled a 3 room basement from floor to ceiling
and then some. He had them broken up in groups of 78's, 45's etc. I can't
begin to count how many there are down there and some of the covers were
incredible.
I asked him how often he had a chance to listen to them and he said he
hasn't listened for years but still collects. He must have had 6-8 copies
of "In the Mood" and I asked if I could buy a copy from him as the one I
have that I listen to on my 1947 Jukebox is scratchy...........guess
what..............he wouldn't consider sellnig! hummmmm I chuckled all the
way back home.
