Whatever I said about Capitol's transfers of Telefunken 78s a few weeks ago, forget it! I've just been sampling P 8078, a collection of Brahms, Schubert and Beethoven pieces done by Mengelberg, and the sound is amazing. Too bad the LP was used as a dartboard..why oh why didn't they invent the inner sleeve about 5 years earlier....
