Re: [ARSCLIST] Audio History In a Nutshell?

To Steven Barr, especially,

ALL of Caruso's recordings, Pathé cylinders, Zonophone, G&T, and Victor flat discs, have been reissued repeatedly on both LP and CD, in so'called "complete sets," not to mention the dubbed versions on 78s with added orchestra, organ, and Lord knows what else!

It has been said that not a day since April 11, 1902, or when the first recordings were put on sale before May 14, not a day has gone by that someone, somewhere, has not purchased a Caruso recording in one format or another. And there's little doubt on that score!

As for the Emerson, it's a snippet, hardly worth the effort to collect, and certainly not to listen to. But they are selling, when offered for $550 to $750! One of those "gotta have" additions to a collection.
