Anyone know who might have been the concertmaster with the Philharmonia Orchestra in December 1954 when Khachaturian conducted the orchestra in his Gayaneh and Masquerade Suites for English Columbia/Angel? Nobody is credited (mercifully..the soloist in the Nocturne happens to be terrible). Let's hope it wasn't Oistrakh, who recorded the Violin Concerto with Mr. K.

(and does anyone have a trackable English pressing of that disc? Boy, that was cut at a high level! Mine skips with several cartridges. The US pressing is cut at about half the volume)
