to help. Here's what I have done...
Where to begin. The 60 second stereo file was recorded on a Marantz PMD
660
as a wav file...44.1. I opened that file in Adobe Audition, did a bit of
editing,
then saved it as a wav , next saved a copy as MP3 at 128kbs, 44.1 sampling
rate.
I've moved the file to an hp running Windows XP Home. Has an Intel
Celeron(R)
1300 MHz. Opening the file in Adobe Audition on this computer, or listening
to
it in Media Player results in the same, slower speed. Any other info I can
offer?

I tried burning the file to disc on the originating computer. When I

the disc back in the offending computer, it plays slow too. I would
