[ARSCLIST] A recording history question

I am wondering if there is a chart or narrative which outlines the history
of audio recording in terms of available dynamic range, frequency response
and recording time.

For example:

1877-1880  recording time  frequency response	dynamic range

Any suggestions as to where to look would be most welcome.
