On  August 22, 2006, PBS will broadcast Lomax, the Songhunter, an
historical  journey that retraces the legendary Alan Lomax's
globe-trotting efforts to  save "roots music" across Europe. The film is
by the Dutch director Rogier  Kappers and will be broadcast in the USA on
the POV series. 


Be aware that the 90 minute film has been pared down to 55 min for PBS  
showing. I haven't seen it yet but read a brief review.
 
Also it's on at different times in different cities.
