Creative Labs products have a reputation for being quality-challenged. If 
your budget could cover a $200 sound card, you would be better off using 
something like a current M Audio sound card. Pro and prosumer sound cards 
(like M Audio's offerings) are designed to function cleanly in a computer's 
digitally dirty environment.
