based on a quick listen on the show floor, they sound much better (as they
should, considering the 2K price tag) than the built-ins on the Marantz
670/671/660s and the Edirol R1. Nice localization too. it would be more
sporting to compare this to the Nagra handhelds instead.

built-in - but there's a slot for a Memory Stick too.

there are inputs but I didn't get to ask about 48V as the rep was
busy talking about the new minidisc recorder...  he did get to say that no
Sony software was required to transfer to a computer.
