WAV or BWAV will be readable in a wider range of software & systems. It's
widely used in the broadcast industry. AIFF will not be readable to many PC
systems and software.

BWAV also offers embedded text fields which means files can carry
considerable data as to source, title, performer, transfer method and so forth and is
therefore much more desireable for long-term archiving.
