I believe Ravel also conducted the first concert performance of Bolero,
in 1930. Presumably the recording was made soon after that.
Regarding the Left Hand concerto, the BBC recently broadcast a
performance with Wittgenstein playing and Bruno Walter conducting.
Interesting to hear.
