David, the AOL "Write Mail" window you're using to create your messages has 
a formatting bar across the top of the body text. You currently have the 
"B" button that turns everything to boldface type turned on. Try clicking 
on that button; after you click on it, the button should look like it's now 
"up" rather than down. That will turn off the boldface type and return 
everything to the default.
