Brian Linde, project manager, will give a brief on-site presentation describing the conservation and restoration of this 1906 carousel constructed by Charles I.D. Looff.

Visit the beautiful Presidio for a personal tour of the conservation lab, led by Deb Evans, Senior Paper Conservator for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The Legion can be reached by public transit: 45-60 minutes via Muni bus. Plenty of parking.

The SFO Museum is a fully accredited museum with a permanent collection and an active schedule of 40 exhibitions annually. Use the time before your departure flight to take this behind-the-scenes tour, hosted by museum conservator Alisa Eagleston-Cieslewicz. Learn about the unique needs, constraints and rewards that result from this new, and rapidly growing, demand for public-space museums.

ARG (Architectural Resources Group) has been working with the San Francisco Arts Commission to conserve a series of WPA murals in this San Francisco landmark. Exercise your legs with a climb up Telegraph Hill, then admire the view and the elegant tower while hearing about the preservation program. Hosted by conservators Jennifer Correia and Johana Moreno of ARG. WARNING: this is a stiff climb. Very limited parking at the top of the hill (expect long lines).
