Bandelier and Chimayo Tours

Chimayo

The self-guided tour of the Chimayo artists' studios will begin at the Santuario where tour-goers can pick up their studio lists/maps. Tours of the recent conservation work done at the Santuario will be conducted at 10:15 am and again at 2:00 pm by one of the Santeros that worked on the project. A Santero is an artist or artisan specializing in colonial religious art—literally "saint-makers". The Santeros will be at the Santuario between 9-11 am and 2-4 pm to answer any questions. Enjoy!
