TCR-100 "Quad" Video Cartridge, RCA (1969)

The video cartridge solved a major problem for television broadcasters -- the automated playing of short videotape commercials or "spots." These small videotapes allowed broadcasters to access commercials without physically splicing them into the broadcasting program.
