A professional camcorder format using a special tape running at six times the normal speed in Component. 1/2" tape which was developed by Matsushita for the NHK, Japan's national broadcasting company. It is a very popular broadcast format in Japan and the U.S. Somewhat similar in format quality to Betacam SP.
