This is the 8mm version of the S-VHS concept. The standard tape base is metal evaporated; however, metal particle tape is also provided. The tape is extremely thin and fragile. Because of the portability of the camera and the high resolution, this is a favored format of the home consumer, and is also used by performance artists.
