total transmittance
A special form of TRANSMITTANCE of a
material. It is measured by means of a special
instrument designed for the purpose. Total
transmittance. in conjunction with PARALLEL
TRANSMITTANCE , is useful in determining the
degree of transparency of a transparent paper. (17 )
