A vegetable-tanned goatskin with the characteristic soft and small pinhead grain pattern produced by BOARDING (1) in a wet condition in a minimum of four directions. The grain is much tighter than that ofLEVANT and the leather itself is firmer and harder than NIGER . (61 )
