Dear Madams and Sirs,
I am Sandra Lucić Vujičić, a senior textile conservator for 20 years in Croatian Conservation Institute (Hrvatski restauratorski zavod), Zagreb, Croatia. This is my first message to you all and first I want to send my regards and best wishes. Mrs. Ballard had told me for this list before two years, I think. I was very busy all the time and I didn`t subscribe. Now, I did open some discussions in archive and I must say that everything look excellent.

Also, I would like to inform you that the International Conference „The most important procedures in preservation and state enhancement of historical textiles“ will be held in Zagreb, Croatia from Monday 24 November 2008 to Wednesday 26 November 2008.

Themes of the conference are: preventive conservation of historical textiles, displaying historical textiles, cleaning historical textiles and new materials and methods in textile conservation.
The conference is organized by the Croatian Conservation Institute, Zagreb, Croatia with the support of Ministry of Culture of Republic of Croatia.

Application deadline for participation and delivery of abstracts, papers or demonstration is 31st October 2008.

Enclosed please find news text, program of the conference, conference subjects, instructions for lecturers and presenters and registration form.
