Has anyone ever tried to dye wool roving or yarns with commerical, over-the-counter, human hair dye? I'm trying to come up with an inexpensive way to do wigs. With Halloween wigs running around $30 and roving at $0.90/oz. I thought this might be a good thing to try. The roving only comes in white, black, gray and a whole host of colors that are only appropriate for Goth or something at the height of London Punk. I know that there may be felting issues if I'm not careful, but can anyone think of a reason it won't work? Rebecca Tinkham Can't Sleep, Microsoft Will Eat Me... Can't Sleep, Microsoft Will Eat Me...
