Going Green; towards sustainability in conservation
Friday 24 April 2009, The British Museum, Clore Education Centre

Conservators and their colleagues are responding to the need to reduce the environmental impact of their professional activities. Such efforts may also anticipate regulatory requirements, given national and international commitments to reduce carbon emissions. The Department of Conservation and Scientific Research at the British Museum will host a one-day meeting in April 2009; Going Green; towards sustainability in conservation, which will allow professionals to demonstrate and share best practice. This meting aims to show examples of successful practical adaptation to increase sustainability within the conservation studio as well as the broader aspects of collections care.
