The reason I ask about sample size is because I too
learned to do 1g dye samples. While speaking with a
chemist at Pro Chem (on another question), she
suggested that the tiny measurements required for 1g
would be very hard to measure accurately, especially
to reproduce. Since then I have used 5g of fabric
weight, which is still a pretty small measurment. Now
I am just more comfortable with 5g and I end up with
dyed samples that can be used later.
