symposium on oxygen free display cases

There will be a one day symposium: "A History of Encasements: Technology Preserving the Charters of Freedom" at the National Institute of Standards & Technology in Gaithersburg Maryland (northern suburb of Washington, D.C.) on April 23, 2002 8:30am-5:30 pm with a reception until 7pm. 
This symposium will review the alterations made to the 1951 NIST (formerly National Bureau of Standards) vitrine design to hold the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.
