Etherington Conservation Services (ECS) is pleased to announce that Sally Key will be joining the conservation team in Greensboro, NC. Sally brings with her many strengths, including her years of hands-on experience and her accumulated knowledge of bookbinding structures. She was awarded an MLS degree in Library and Information Sciences and a Certification of Completion of Apprenticeship in Conservation under William Anthony and Pamela Spitzmueller from the University of Iowa. Sally has also received a post-graduate diploma from West Dean College located in Chichester, UK, where she studied under Chris Clarkson and David Dorning, completing an internship in Medieval and Renaissance book conservation. During her 19 years in the book conservation field, Sally has held conservator positions at several different institutions, including the University of Iowa and Southern Methodist University. She has also been responsible for training new bookbinders through her work at the North Bennett Street School and the Craft Guild of Dallas. She has presented to such diverse groups as the Guild of Book Workers, local interest groups, and the Helen Warren DeGolyer Triennial Competition and Conference on American Bookbinding. We look forward to having Sally add her skills to those already on staff at ECS and are very happy to have this opportunity to work with her. ____________________________________________ Michael K.
