[PADG:1573] PADG Follow-up from Vidipax

The following message comes from Dan Gaydos of VidiPax.

"It was an honor to be with you last Saturday to help in all aspects of
media preservation problems and solutions. Below are standards and
guidelines pertaining to Magnetic Media. Of course, you will see many
parallels between audio and video standards. Anyone who didn't get a
Video Format Guide (the slide-rule-type guide of all the video formats,
dates, etc.), email me ( ) with your address and I'll send it
out. As a member of the Audio Engineering Society Historical Committee,
our group has been charged with the task of finding a home for much of
the AES Standards Committee's Research Library. Please let me know
if your library is interested in acquiring these references and research
texts, and I will send the list. (Yes this is the body that developed
the standards below!)
