I am pleased to report that the proposed standard for Library Binding has 
been approved by the NISO members. The final text of the standard is now 
at press. It will be published in early 2000.    

The ballot on this draft standard resulted in no negative votes. However, 
many comments were submitted.  The Standards Committee's response to all 
of the comments on the draft submitted by NISO members and other 
interested parties is available for your review on the NISO website.  You 
are invited to review this report to see how your organization's comments 
were responded to.
