I was at an auction today and saw an unusual (for me) cornet. It was rather small, came in a case full of auxilliary slides, and had a fourth valve, probably operated by the index finger of the left hand. It was at roughly a 45 degree angle. The inscription on the bell was difficult to read but I thing it said "Wright". Does anyone know when these were popular and who made them?
