Societies or associations for framers

I'm looking for some help. I am a framer working in the south of
England, and work to conservation standards whenever I can. I'd like
to get some more detailed information to make sure that what I am
doing is best practice. Is there an association that specialises in
framers as conservators. I've looked at a couple here in England,
but one doesn't seem to be serious about conservation framing and
the other doesn't seem to be keen on framers joining.

I would be interested to know what the situation is in America and other
countries.
