Actually, neutron sources are very detrimental to plastics, and will cause
them to "decay", thus even such an unlikely event as EMP is a threat to all
media.  Besides the weakening forces from neutron radiation, colors are
bleached, labels may become unreadable, and embrittlement of metals happens
under such extreme forces.
