What is even MORE funny (Dave wrote the name correctly in the subject) is that is real name is Gaspare Scuderi, and I do not know where the Salvatore credit on Victor came from!
A short biography in Italian is available at
http://xoomer.alice.it/lepavari/bioScuderi.pdf
Maybe contacting the Trapani conservatory you will find more info

Anyone have information, or can point to encyclopedia entry for Italian

Salvatore Scudero, composer of "Dormi Pure." Thanks to UCSB I found his

anywhere.

It looks like his name is actually Salvatore Scuderi.
