I've known about Scott's invention for some time, and I'm really happy that
someone has finally been successful in playing at least one of these
recordings. I often wondered just how much intelligibility could be captured
by the stylus that was used, but apparently it's sufficient for reproduction
of recognizable sounds. With further searching, someone may actually find
the Phonautogram that was allegedly made of Abraham Lincoln's voice. Imagine
being able to hear that!
