Re: [ARSCLIST] Fwd: [post-war-blues] Ace and Bear Family Releases May be Unavailable in US Soon?

Richard's two-word answer to my question:

"Forget it."

'nuff said.

I've written to Richard Weize at Bear Family to see if he knows anything about
this. I would seriously doubt it.

I find it a bit strange that Bluebeat Music's website screams "THIS CD HAS BEEN
BLOCKED FOR SALE IN THE US...GET IT WHILE YOU CAN" next to Ace's Elmore James
Classic Early Recordings, while (after a cursory look) neither Bear Family nor
Ace's websites mention anything about diminished availability of their titles to

the American market.

Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this "lawsuit" ? I like Bear Family and Ace
product (and regard the major labels with suspicion) as much as the next guy,
but this all seems a bit unsubstantiated at this point.
