If you can find either a cheap (i.e. "yard sale") copy of Visual Basic,
OR a copy of one of the old "came with a Microsoft system" built-in
copies of BASIC (GW-BASIC, IIRC...?), you can generate tones of any
specific frequency and duration (VB requires minimal/simple program
writing...!).
