Re: [ARSCLIST] Subject: Tradition/Everest/Vanguard Classics/Bernie Solomon

The Tradition imprint is a more difficult subject. Part of the titles
were purchased by Madacy simultaneously to the jazz and classical
titles; however, many of them were part of a sale to Rykodisc around the
same time. However, what I have been told (and have not been able to
corroborate, but came from Bernie Solomon) is that Rykodisc never made
the final payment due for the purchase of the masters, and according to
Mr. Solomon, were not considered to be sold as a result. I fear the
settlement of many of these issues may be resolved (or not) in probate
or estate court.

What's the current status of the Tradition catalog?
