Parker, I took a look at your web site (which is very nice BTW) and was wondering about the vernier adjustments on the 820. Do you find that, from tape to tape, that tweaking the azimuth makes a significant difference in the playback?

I think they varied, but according to

inches for the Magnecord.


Probably it would be best to use a DAW and slip one channel until they
match. **If** the speed was absolutely correct, you could figure out the
distance from the offset time.
