Granted, and the list was never intended to be complete, It is what we have.
However from our tests it was pretty clear that we could not guarantee that
any given software could play files > 2 GB whereas once file size was < 2
GB every program we tried could play it (as long as it supported the sample
rate, but that's another story.) I do not believe that the limitation is
related to the OS. For example Pro Tools on a Mac will not recognize a file
< 2 GB, but Quicktime will.
