[ARSCLIST] Travis Tapak tape recorder

Friends,

We've just acquired an original piece of WNYC equipment: a Travis Tapak
portable tape recorder.
The transport runs on a spring motor that you crank up like victrola. The
electronics run on
a 67.5 volt "B" battery and two "D" cells. The recording head and
headphone are made by Brush. The mic input is a 3-pin Cannon connection.
It specifies Scotch 111A and 120A tape on 5" reels. Can anyone tell me more
about this machine and the man I believe made it, Albert Travis Jr.?
Thanks for your time and consideration.
