Re: [ARSCLIST] ASCAP follows RIAA down the road guaranteed not to make friends

That's amusing for Microsoft to accuse another company of intimidation over copyright infringement. Seems like I have to give my DNA sequence when I want to download an upgrade for one of their programs (meaning, a fix for one of their security issues).

If what my friend Bob O. calls the "silicon valley ... cartels" prevail here, I wonder if the draconian "FBI warning" now part of CD packaging will disappear.

Well, this answers THAT question..
For a one time license fee, you can use these professional music recordings as
many times as you like for any multimedia
project you ever create. You can use this royalty free buyout music for
film, video, broadcast, or live presentations.

Mood music libraries sell you the rights to use their recordings and they may cover the publishing..I don't know if this applies only to broadcast/film use or "public performance".
