I guess I lucked out then. I compared the test pressing of Shotgun Willie to my regular pressing and there were differences. But that's good info. So, if the deadwax info is the same on a supposed test pressing as a WLP or first issue, it probably isn't a test pressing? Or does it just depend?

Those were actually promos. Only four or five real test pressings would be
made. They were used to check the plating quality and then sent to the label
for them to sign off on the production run. An old promo trick was to send
reviewers what appeared to be test pressings which would make them think
they were getting special treatment.
